postheadericon Fall with a Frenzy

Its AUGUST!  The fall clock in our head has gone off. Its time to hit the stores for the best selection . BUT it is really all about style and price and wearability. DUH, thats the mantra we LIVE by around here.

There is one twist , though. Its all about exclusivity, yes, do you want to be walking down the street, or in this case getting in and out of your car , and see the same item on several people whom you know? Of course not! Faux Pas bar none.

Out in suburbia this happens. Not in New York, not in Chicago or even L.A., BUT in Boston, yes it happens. We all congreate in the same place (unless of course you are really out in the boonies)so the trick that we have down pat around here at LuxCouture is to just get enough and then thats it, but of course there are SO many designers that it takes some time to get to know them.AND, we have exclusives , we don’t share well, thats for sure.

Lets sample!

Sonia Speciale Italy a collection that can only be referred to as ART, and looks amazing on every body type. Jackets , skirts and pants, ok get this, AFFORDABLE

Duarte, rocker meets modern woman. Boiled wool coats and jackets so chic you will never , ever leave home without it, unless its 90 degrees.Prices too amazing to write about (call the store)

CLOGS ! THE MUST HAVE. Maguba, sweeden, the MOST comfortable. Chic gray patent clogs. How can you miss?

postheadericon What is Luxury for you?

What makes you shop? Bordeom? NAW, trends? Maybe. Going out in search of the next find? Yup! That’s it.! Hands down I am in search of the next amazing find!

I discovered the best handbag that made me drool. Japanese,of course. Quilted leather. Delic. Shoulder strap and hand carry handles? Too good to be true.

Who, what , where? The who , LuxCouture. The what, Kenjikada, Japan, the who? The coolest designer I have ever seen.In fact this bag is not for the faint of heart , rather the handbag elite. Its not elite in price, just design, quality and overall meets all of my criteria for one drop dead bag.

Exclusive to LuxCouture in the US. Of course, where luxury is redefined.

postheadericon Shu Uemura Leaving US

shu-hair-oil-001The best, beyond a shadow of a doubt, hair product on the market today is the Shu Uemura Essence Absolue. It makes hair so smoothe and shiny, you would not even recognize your own hair!

NO KIDDING!So , when it goes Au Revoir, what are hair fashionistas to do? Since it is already difficult to get, and ebayers were selling it for upwards of 200.00 per bottle, I would suggest one thing:

RUN DON”T WALK AND STOCK UP

Thanks WWD for the scoop!

PS I can secure one for you !

postheadericon Running on Transit

Speciality stores should be SPECIAL-RIGHT? Isn’t that what the name implies?
Tranist steps up to the task. Made in Italy and ONLY sold in speciality stores, it is a collection like no other.
You can build upon your Tranist wardrobe each season, and while the styles are different, the overall feel is the same but different. Does that make any sense? Once you transition to Tranist you will get it! ,and the fit, amazing.
BUT you wonder, why can’t I find it?
Its one of those collections that once you know it you GOSSIP about it.
And, once you wear it, you are hooked, for good!
It takes you everywhere.Anytime.
We are rolling along down the warm weather path with Transit.
Call for pictures ! If there is anything left.

postheadericon raincoats never looked so good!

Spring rains bring all those fab flowers, BUT who wants a flood , and rain every day. Padding my way to the window each morning I retreat with the same thought, what can I wear on my feet and body that will hold up to a day at the store? (without sitting in wet damp clothing).

The answer??? The ULTIMATE rain coat from Pret Pour Partir, from Paris of course~ Those Parisians know a little bit about rain, as it seems to do nothing BUT rain in Paris.

Long, with a hood that zips around your head, and enough pockets to stash your phone (so you don’t ruin it , and hence ruin your life) and so chic that you could layer up a storm for those cold rainy days.

Search no more. Call LuxCouture.com 800-770-0408 for pictures and availability. www.luxcouture.com

postheadericon Much ado about Military

Having  just returned from Italy and Paris, I thought it would be appropriate to tempt you each day with a “tidbit” of what you are going to lust for in the fall.

Lust #1  Military! I have never seen so many fashionistas in one room grabbing at every piece of military , or military influenced items. The scene at Merci , the uber chic Parisian “experience” located in the Marais (sort of ) is the place to see and grab.

Yes, they private labeled military items, all so chic you just had to load up and dash.
Little printed shirts, so sweet and innocent and girly.Slouchy military pants, metallic galore to pair with your new chic look

AND.. the creme de la creme Isabelle Marant low booties in, yes, Military print. Now those were scooped up by moi at Printemps, the only store in Paris to have them. I had to have 2 colors, dark navy and of course, de rigeur green.

Tomorrow:

Its a mixed bag.
